Some key messages:

Please read with your child as often as possible.
It would be great if your child could practice their times tables on Time Table Rockstar as often as possible.
ITV Come to the Beach with Year 4

Today, they year 4 children were able to share all of their learning with ITV West country. The children are now on their fourth session at the beach and loving it and learning lots too.
Year 4 goes to the Beach

Year 4 had their first day at the beach today, where they build Viking Long ships from sand, seaweed and stones. We imagined how it would feel to have 60 adults working and living in such a small space and how they used these magnificent ships to travel across Europe.
We also, roasted marshmallows on a campfire and learnt how to keep safe at the sea side.
Be sure to keep an eye on the schools Facebook account for weekly updates and pictures.
Year 4 Sporting Success

Year 4 pupils have been following the School Games Values of  Passion, Self-Belief, Respect, Honesty, Determination and Teamwork this week. When they took on other teams from KS2 in TAG rugby and netball. Some showed outstanding teamwork and determination and were selected to play for the school in a inter-school competition. These children showed fantastic gamesmanship and self-belief.
Look at our amazing dancers competing against 24 other teams!

World Book Day!

All of KS2 are lucky enough to be taking in part in the Young Reader scheme, run by the National Literacy Trust in partnership with Drake Circus shopping centre. Every child in KS2 will receive 3 BRAND NEW books to keep! Year 4 found it hard to choose from the wonderful selection...

We were also lucky enough to have a news team from ITV Westcountry News in filming across the school.
Roman Day
What an amazing day we has investigating how catapults work and creating our own. The children used a wide range of learning powers to build from scratch their own catapult
