Welcome to Starfish Class

Welcome to our class page!

Firstly, we would like to welcome our new foundation children and families to High Street!

We also welcome our new year 1 children back into Starfish class after our summer holidays!

Our Starfish team:

Teacher: Mrs O'Brien

Learning support staff: Mrs Nichols and Miss Burt

Any questions or concerns please speak to a  member of our team, we will be happy to help, the best time to catch us is at the end of the school day.

Here are a list of websites to help with learning at home!
Halloween Fun!
We have been celebrating filling our cube jar by having a fantastic Halloween party! We did lots of crafts, dancing and even bobbed for apples!
Reading folders and PE kits should be in school at all times!
Home learning
Please read with  your child every day for at least 5 minutes. To begin with your child may need lots of help, that's fine- we are still learning!
Can your child write their name? It would really help if you could practice at home together!
Counting games and rhymes are a great way to help with number!
This term, children will start to bring home spellings each week. Please support your child to learn these.
Autumn term 18
Foundation have enjoyed taking part in our Nativity. We have been singing, dancing and acting as beautiful angels! We all listened very carefully and joined in with the production!
Spring Term 19
We have been learning about Spring. Foundation have enjoyed a Spring walk to the park! Look at the signs of Spring we have found!
We have been adding numbers together to find total amounts! We have been using Numicon this week!
This week, we have been creating observational drawings of Daffodils. We had to look very carefully and think about the sizes and colours of the flower. We also learnt about the parts of a flower. We began by drawing the stem, then the leaves and the flower. We finished them, by adding some colour!
Summer Term 19
Autumn term 19
