House Points

At High Street we operate a house point system. Upon entry each child is allocated to one of the school's four Houses:

  • Leopards
  • Lions
  • Tigers
  • Pumas

High Street's Houses give our pupils and staff the chance to interact and work together. All children and staff in the school belong to one. A child can obtain house points for:

  • Working hard
  • Having a positive attitude
  • Being helpful and polite
  • Completion of homework
  • Generally being everything we expect from a High Street child.

Every House has two House Captains. They are from Year 5 & 6 and are voted for by the rest of the members of their team in September.

Throughout the year we have House Assemblies, they are a chance to inform pupils of forthcoming events and celebrate achievement. We also get together in our houses for fun and academic activities.

Each week the House Captains collect the house points and the winning team is announced in assembly. These points are then added up over the term. The winning team each term will have a party and be able to come to school in their own clothes. There is also a big raffle at the party which each child gets a ticket for.

A running total of points will be displayed on the house point board in the hall and here on the website.

Come back each week to see which house is winning!
