Good attendance is vital for children to achieve well and be happy at school. We aspire to achieve 97% attendance across the school and we monitor individual pupils attendance carefully. Where a child's attendance falls below the Local Authority percentage we work closely with our school Education Welfare Officer to support families getting their child to school every day. Please click on the links below to read a copy of the Local Authority guidance to parents and on exceptional circumstances for taking a pupil out of school.
Every week we monitor the overall attendance rate of each class. The winning class each week gets a special Head Teacher’s Award. Each class is then awarded points according to their attendance rate.
- 1st place – 7 points
- 2nd place – 6 points
- 3rd place – 5 points
- 4th place – 4 points
- 5th place – 3 points
- 6th place – 2 points
- 7th place - 1 point
The points are then added up week after week and each term the winning class will receive £50 to spend on whatever they choose!
Don’t forget…coming to school every day will earn you a raffle ticket, which means you have a chance of winning one of the bikes!
